Hello, Dear Ones. White Eagle continues to rest. His breathing remains steady. He’s had visits in the past few days from numerous people, including Hawke, Badger, and Raven Heavy Runner. The room has been full of stories and laughter. His husband has shared photos and tales of trips he’s taken with White Eagle. Over the past few days, the clouds in the sky have been dramatic, changing and shifting and flowing. And the radiance of Mt Rainier has been visible from his room. Everyone feels blessed.

He is well loved. Songs are sung, he is painted and ready for journey. He is never alone. He is safe whenever the time comes. We need to pray for him and all who are with him. Tears will come but not too many, it makes the journey difficult. In our way don’t call out his name, it calls him back. We need to let let him go peacefully.

It is hard and hurts I know but we have to let him go. Just think of the awesome warrior we will have cheering us on from the other side. The elders are there with you. My people say “it is a good day to die!” Any day you cross to the other side camp is a good day.

White Eagle is receiving full comfort care. He was only awake 3 times today for very brief intervals, the longest being 5-10 minutes this morning. He is sleeping comfortably and peacefully. His breathing is steady. He is surrounded by love and care.

We hear and feel all your love, care, and prayers. We will let everyone know when he transitions.

8-31-26: Rosette writes:

These last few weeks with White Eagle have been amazing. The community surrounding him is incredible. And with this support, White Eagle has made a decision: He will pursue hospice. Yet even with this decision, he remains in the hospital because his physical body is too weak to move. He’s on medication for pain and anxiety. There are people around him, showering him with love. How will this all unfold? It’s in Spirit’s hands.

There are so many more things to say, yet few words to express them.

But we can pray. And to that end:

Creator, ancestors, all you Spirits seen and unseen
Bless White Eagle. Hold him. Comfort him. Care for him. Bring him ease.
Care for his husband, Kenny MacDonald. Let him know he’s loved. Remind him that he has a new family, a group of people who love him and will be here to care for him.
Bless this Circle. Bless the people that love White Eagle. Bless the hospital staff for their wondrous care. And bless all the newborns I keep seeing in the hospital, those sweet, little wrinkled reminders that this life is a beautiful, magnificent gift.

The source of White Eagle’s repeated blood infection(s) are from the cancer that metastasized to his liver. It is getting worse. There is nothing that Western Medicine can do to address this, which means it will continue and progress.

White Eagle, Kenny, and our team of caregivers had a deep, heartfelt ritual conversation last night. White Eagle has decided to turn toward the West. He will not be seeking any invasive or curative treatments. Doctors are now focused on palliative, comfort care while he’s in the hospital. He is not able to leave the hospital to go to a hospice home at this time. His physical body cannot sustain life for much longer. It’s in the hands of Spirit. It could be a day, days, or weeks.

I know a lot of people may want to visit but right now we are limiting the amount of people visiting because of hospital policy. If you want to talk to WE, you can leave a message on his phone. Truthfully, he will likely not be able to operate his phone, and we may not be able to play the message. But it will be somewhere where your words and thoughts can be held and stored.

If you feel like you really need to see White Eagle, contact Rosette (206.619.8975). But please understand: A visit, at this stage, may not be possible. But Rosette can help navigate any available options. Thank you. And thank you for loving White Eagle. Send prayers for ease and comfort during this transition.

All donations will go to Kenny to help with medical bills and end of life arrangements.

WHITE EAGLE is a leader in our spiritual community, an artist, a creator, and someone who has a remarkable ability to bring meaning, beauty, and ritual into the lives of the people around him. His life itself is a combined ritual and performance— full of creativity, spirit, humor, beauty, and intention.

White Eagle is living with pancreatic cancer, and the road has become much harder than any of us believed it would be. The medical bills are accumulating from his cancer treatment and care. More recently, he experienced a serious medical crisis that resulted in a multi-day stay in the ICU and nearly two weeks in the hospital.

The medical care he needs is extensive — and the costs are expensive.

We have created a fundraiser to help ease the financial burden on White Eagle and his husband Kenny during this incredibly difficult time. Funds will go toward medical bills, and paying for hospitalization, skilled nursing care, medications, transportation, and the many unexpected expenses that come with a serious illness.

But this fundraiser is about more than medical bills. It is about giving back to someone who has spent so much of his life giving to others.

There are so many people praying for White Eagle. So many people loving him. So many people whose lives have been touched by his presence, his creativity, his leadership, and his generosity. This is a chance for all of us to surround him now.

If you are able to contribute financially, any amount will help. If you can’t contribute, sharing this fundraiser, sending a prayer, holding him in your thoughts, or simply helping us spread the word is deeply meaningful. We want White Eagle to feel what is already so evident to all of us: He is loved. He is held. He is not alone.
